After a cold with a persistent, mucous cough, a dry, irritating cough often remains. This dry cough irritates the sensitive mucous membranes in the upper respiratory tract and is often exhausting, especially when it disturbs sleep at night. SILOMAT cough suppressant capsules contain the active ingredient dextromethorphan (DMP). DMP acts on the cough center, increasing the cough threshold and thus reducing the frequency of coughing fits. This also allows the irritated mucous membranes to calm down. SILOMAT Cough Suppressant Dextromethorphan Intensive is said to take effect after just 15-30 minutes and last for up to 6 hours.
